Dr. Mary Grey Maher, MD

Dr. Maher was always very late to appointments and ALSO very rushed during appointments. Last appointment, she showed up 45 minutes late and then was pushing to end the appointment before all of my questions were answered, only about 20 minutes in. I did not feel listened to, nor did I feel that she remembered my conditions from one appointment to the next. She was confused as to why I was showing up for my follow-up. She did not ask about my physical state or symptoms. She was slow to respond to portal messages or totally non-responsive. She also brushed aside my questions and concerns. At best I felt that I had an uninterested or overwhelmed doctor; at worst, it felt like negligence. I absolutely cannot recommend this doctor. I see many similar reviews written here. I suggest you listen to them, save yourself time and medical anxiety, and find yourself a good, attentive doctor. This is not one.

Dr Maher is a true honor to the profession of medicine. She saw me on a referral from my OB/GYN for one condition and got caught in the middle of complicated unrelated medical outcome that was discovered based on her listening to me and understanding a situation that was still affecting my health. I am in the process of working this through and she has been nothing but the ultimate professional and support for something that I had not expected to see.

Abrupt and comes across as inpatient

This Doctor doesn't even deserve a one star rating. Yale Urology shouldn't even be looked at as an option. Dr. Maher along with her nurse Lillian showed the upmost disrespect. After suffering from painful burning and cystitis, this doctor would not even call me back and her nurse was even more rude. STAY AWAY!

I found Dr. Maher to be an outstanding, excellent and professional clinician. She is thorough, competent in her field, caring, dedicated to her patient, listens to her patient, warm, down to earth, along with being personable , empathetic and compassionate. I was valued as a person, not just a patient, and very much at ease during my time with Dr. Maher. She is accurate and thorough in her diagnosis , outlined treatment and options available. Patient teaching and instructions for self care were thorough and easy to comprehend. Her staff and assistants are outstanding, professional, competent, compassionate and empathetic at all times. It is evident that patients are valued in this practice, and the combination of excellent care along with genuine caring for the person is exemplary. All of the MD's in this top urology practice are outstanding, not only as MD's but as genuine people, too. I am very happy to have Dr. Maher as one of my MD's ,thankful for her excellent… care, and very fortunate to have been referred to her. There are many doctors , however finding someone like Dr. Maher doesn't happen very often. Thank you.

Dr. Maher is very knowledgeable in her field, and has helped me when other doctors couldn't detect the problem. I'm feeling so much better. I highly recommend her.

I would highly recommend Dr. Maher. She spent a long time with me and actually listened to my input. She was very kind and professional at the same time.

Commented on my hair and said she hadn't noticed how thin it was the 1st time she saw me! I didn't see a urologist to hear snide comments about my hair! Had no response, never went back to see her again.
