Dr. Maryjo Spalding Meier, MD

I have found her to be the type of Doctor that knows it all. She may be great if you have a healthy child, but if you have a child prone to illness she may be condescending. She may be completely incorrect in her diagnosis. She is not my normal pediatrician, but I have had to have her when our doctor is not in the office. In one case where she was on call via phone in the evening, she actually laughed at my diagnosis - my baby would not nurse due to thrush - she laughed at me saying that she'd order the thrush medication, but no baby would not eat just because of thrush! And that'd she surely see me in the office on Monday! Once he was medicated, my baby nursed just fine. Due to being stuck with her when our pediatrician is not in office, and my children's tendency to get sick on the wrong days, we will have to change pediatric centers. I do not want to deal with her attitude anymore. So, people with healthy kids seem to like her, but I am not the only person I've met who dislikes her… bedside manner in dealing with children who have atypical needs.

I have been taking my girls to Dr. Meier for over 12 years now. She is an outstanding physician. My girls love her and we feel extremely comfortable with her.

Dr. Meier is the peditrician for both of my girls, she is very kind caring and patient with both of them. Even when getting shots my girls are never reluctant to go to the doctor. I would recommend her to anyone with children! She is great!
