Dr. Maryjo Vanostenberg

I took my wife to the ER after she slipped and fell at her work because they neglected to clear the snow and ice from the employee parking lot. She hurt her ankle as she fell. They X-Rayed it and no breaks (thank goodness) but Dr Mary Jo Vanostenburg gave the prognosis of an ankle sprain. Rightfully so, her ankle was swollen up like a balloon. My wife is a stocker at a major retailer, pulls heavy pallets to stock shelves, lifting heavy boxes in the process. They wrapped her ankle and gave her crutches. Gave her information pamphlet on sprains indicating to stay off foot for a week and keep foot elevated. We received the doctors work note for my wife’s employer. Dr Mary stated she could go back to work same day. We were appalled. How is she to finish her shift with a sprained ankle, with crutches and pull pallets and lift boxes?!?! The Doctor contradicted the pamphlet she gave us about staying off feet for a week. We pleaded with her to give her a few days rest, she allowed for 1… day. We again pleaded and she refused to allow a single day more for recovery, completely and utterly contradicting the sprain pamphlet she gave us. I didn’t understand the callous, uncaring attitude the doctor had toward my wife’s recovery. So very disappointed with Dr Mary Jo Vanostenberg!
