He is very skilled in what he does and cares a great deal about his patients. We are blessed to have him here.

This doctor almost led me down the pathway to much bigger problems. He had little to no knowledge of parathyroid disease, and certainly showed no empathy for me as a sufferer. He told me my illness was not an “emergency” and that we had “... plenty of time...” and did not need to rush to resolve it surgically. This was at the seventh-month mark of my suffering and despite a CT scan-measured tumor. I then found an excellent surgeon out of state who specializes in the parathyroid surgery I needed. My illness required removal of 3 1/2 of the four glands —- indicative of how very ill I was. My surgeon’s skill and expertise gave me my life back. Dr. Dhir has a video of himself online, describing his philosophy and how he deals with his patients. It is a crock of hooey! I found him to be rude, placating and visibly annoyed to answer questions or discuss treatment. I don't know who wrote that compassionate script for him, but believe me, he does not operate in the manner he describes. This… doctor was a nightmare for me in every sense of the word. To have to search for alternative, effective care on my own while being so very ill was a horrible venture. Don't buy into his con job video.

Had to have emergency colostomy surgery due to perforation in my sigmoid colon. He placed my stoma extremely close to my surgical incision. There is also another cut that looks like an incision was started for a probe or tube but the complete incision was not made because it was directly above my stoma. That cut is now completely covered by the tape on my colostomy bag causing irritation and it will not heal properly and efficiently due to it being covered up by the colostomy bag tape. Having my stoma placed so very close to my surgical incision makes it very difficult to properly apply a colostomy bag without part of the wafer or tape overlapping my surgical wound and it also makes it very hard to properly dress my surgical wound which has to be done twice a day. I feel that there is also a very high risk of infection when the stoma and incision are placed so very close together. He did perform the surgery and my colostomy is operational. But I dont think that he realizes how… difficult it is for proper aftercare of the patient when he places stoma so close to incision and also makes a cut right where colostomy bag tape will need to be. I am utterly displeased with the difficulty of my post-surgical care due to his lack of compassion and insight as to how the patient will properly care for themself after surgery.
