Dr Masoumeh Ghayouri, MD

Dr. Masoumeh Ghayouri is Assistant Member in the Department of Anatomic Pathology at Moffitt Cancer Center and Assistant Professor, Department of Oncologic Sciences and Department of Pathology and Cell Biology in the College of Medicine at University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine. Dr. Ghayouri's research and clinical interests include hepatobiliary, gastrointestinal, and neuroendocrine tumors. A graduate of Tehran University School of Medicine in Iran, Dr. Ghayouri completed a Fellowship in Oncologic Surgical Pathology at Moffitt Cancer Center after completing her residency in pathology and cell biology in the School of Medicine at the University of South Florida. Dr. Ghayouri instructs and mentors medical students, residents, and fellows at Moffitt Cancer Center and is engaged in research on predictors of response to targeted therapies and expression of Her2-neu in adenocarcinoma of the extrahepatic biliary tract.  Dr. Ghayouri is a reviewer for Cancer Cell …International Journal and is a member of the College of American Pathologists, the North American Neuroendocrine Tumor Society, the US and Canadian Academy of Pathology, the College of American Pathologists, and the American Society of Clinical Pathology. She serves on numerous committees at Moffitt Cancer Center and USF, has published nearly 20 peer-reviewed articles, has authored book chapters, and  has presented numerous abstracts and presentations.
