Dr. Massarat Zutshi

Dr. Zutshi and her staff are knowledgable, effective and helpful. I didn't need sympathy or counseling, I needed help on two occasions with thrombosed hemorrhoids. She deroofed them and they healed up quickly. She educated me and provided solid advice for preventing them in the future. I could not have asked for anything more.

I did not experience the negativity spelled out in previous reviews. I saw Dr. Zutshi after having seen many other doctors for an uncommon problem, and she regarded me with great care and got me on a treatment plan immediately. She and her staff were very professional.

My comments are as much about Dr. Zutshi's staff as they are about her. Her staff, specifically her head nurse, is incredibly insensitive and does not make it a priority to follow-up with patients. Each time my wife sees this doctor we have to wait forever. Once we finally are taken back to wait another 20-30 minutes, Dr. Zutshi's spends very little time with us and doesn't really listen to what my wife is telling her. So far, Dr. Zutshi has been terrible at diagnosing my wife's problem. We have made complaints to the Cleveland Clinic's "Patient Care" line but it has not made any difference. In my opinion, this hospital is overrated. They have bad doctors, bad staff, and they seem to not care about complaints. If you can avoid it, I would not visit this doctor or this facility for any help.

Upon reading other reviews, I could not help but comment as I have also seen this physician and have experienced similar problems. First, her staff is very unprofessional. Dr. Zutshi also employs barbaric medical procedures. When I explained to another colorectal surgeon the procedures Dr. Zutshi prescribed for me there was shock and I was advised that the treatment she recommended was something out of the 1950s. This doctor may work at a reputable clinic, but she is certainly not a very good doctor. Avoid this physician at all costs.

My husband and I have been seeing physicians for various ailments for over 40 years. Recently, I was referred to the Cleveland Clinic Department of Colo-Rectal surgery and ended up with one of the most uncaring, unprofessional, worst doctors we have ever seen.We had to wait nearly 4 months to see Dr Zutshi. Her staff was the absolute worst. Mean, dismissive, condescending, rude, abrupt, and absolutely unprofessional. They make the excuse they are overworked. We're all overworked and it's no excuse to be rude and mean to someone who is seeking medical help. Dr. Zuthshi's nurse defines incompetence. She does not return calls. She has no idea what she's talking about and when you do end up getting her on the phone she's rude, short-tempered and arrogant. Combined with Dr Zuthsi they make a pairing out of a bad horror movie.Zutshi must have learned her bedside manner from an irritable lab rat. She is unfriendly, dismissive, closed minded, condescending and a black eye on an… otherwise well regarded hospital system. Both Dr. Zutshi and her staff should seek and new profession. Absolutely, unless you enjoy torture and very difficult people, do not go see this doctor. She is the worst.

Dr. Zutshi is one of the worst physicians I've ever encountered. She hardly spends any time with patients; talks down to patients, cares little about the patients, and doesn't provide any follow up. To make matters worse, her front desk staff and nursing staff are as uncaring as they are unresponsive. They have an operational rule of "out of sight out of mind." If you complain, the staff isolates you and does not return calls. This physician is guilty of medical malpractice on a variety of levels. If you're in pain or need help, don't bother calling this physician or her staff. They simply don't care. In time, her staff will be exposed and she will lose her medical license.
