He dismissed your complaints about your health. I told him I have very low blood pressure and a racing heart. He gave me beta blocker to even my blood pressure lower. That was his solution instead of figuring out what was really wrong. I had to call an ambulance and the paramedics figured out what was wrong with me. They took their time and did lots of ekg and captured the issue. He could have done this in his office if he took the time. I am waiting to see another cardiologist to get fixed.

Mateen Akhtar MD is the best MD I have encountered and he has improved my cardiac health. Dr Akhtar takes time with me in office visits and explains my conditions and the procedures simply, but he will provide more in-depth explanations if I request them. I have had several cardiac issues requiring hospitalization and he monitors my conditions by phone and comes by to see me regularly. He engages with other MD's well. He and his office team perform testing and procedures in-office and do a good job. They are prompt to respond to prescription re-fill requests or any questions I have.
