Dr. Mateja de Leonni Stanonik, MD

I suffered some nerve damage in a serious bike accident while hiking in Az, and saw Dr Leonni several times. I found her very thorough and caring, and thought that she is highly qualified. I really felt in good hands. She also referred me to a doc near my home.

My husband received care there during several months while on assignment, and he was quite satisfied with Dr de Leonni. He always remarked how qualified she is.

My experience with Dr de Leonni has been positive (faint spells). I find her very detailed oriented and that is what I want a doctor to be. Maybe not everybody gets along with her, but you want the best treatment possible.

It is not easy to find a neurologist in this part of the country. Dr Leonni has been my neurologist and I'm glad I found her. I have no complaints about her care. - Lina A

Dr Stanonik was the first Dr to get to the bottom of my neurological issues. Yes, she did order a bunch of tests, but finally I know what I'm dealing with. I will always go back to Dr Stanonik. -- J.R.

Dr Leonni treated me after I was admitted to the medical center. I had fallen down a few stairs. She thoroughly examined me when she first saw me and did a nerve conduction exam and ordered MRIs to determine the cause of the fall. Her thoroughness impressed me.

I recently moved back to Maryland, but Dr. Leonni was my neurologist in when I lived in Casa Grande. I found her very thorough and felt I was in good hands. Yes, she is strong character, but she sure knows her stuff. - Gerry

The opinions about Dr Stanonik are apparently divided. I had the best experience with her, she is highly qualified and thorough, and she takes pride in her profession. I have no complaints.

I give Dr de Leonni five stars all the way. I was very nervous for my nerve study, but Dr. Leonni put me at ease and I felt quite comfortable. The tests did not hurt at all and she explained everything. She developed a care plan and also referred me to another doctor for something else. – Brenna M

Even though I am relatively young I developed suddenly seizures. I first got prescribed seizure meds by another Dr but it did not work that well and then went to see Dr Stanonik because I wanted to change my meds. Dr Stanonik ran tests (EEG) and prescribed meds with less side effects and I’m still seizure free.
