Dr. Mathew Mendel Avram, MD

Dr. Mathew Avram is outrageously overpriced—$575 for Botox—and gives a false promise of free touch-ups. I confirmed ahead that I could get a free touch-up, took time off work, only to be told within 30 seconds it would cost an extra $275. No examination, just pure money grab. As a physician, I find his greed and unprofessionalism appalling. Avoid him if you want honesty and care.

I recently saw Dr. Avram and I wanted filler where he said I did not. He was honest. If I went elsewhere they would have done the filler and charged me.

Yes. I would like to share more detail. If MGH makes a mistake during a cosmetic procedure, they deny it and blame the patient. Again this morning the first thing I noticed was the big scar on my face made by MGH Cosmetic Laser Derm. Their patient advocacy staff was rude and inconsiderate when I called for help and I could hear the patient advocate representative bad mouthing me to her coworker while hanging up the phone....she had not fully disconnected the line so I could hear the side conversation.

Dr. Avram is an empathetic and compassionate physician. He inspires trust and confidence through his patient interactions. His skill and qualifications as a leading dermatologist in the field of laser skin treatment is well documented, but his calm demeanor, patient contact and follow-up go above and beyond any anticipated doctor/patient service expectations. Exceptional!
