Oh boy, all I can say is please please beware, do you really want a complete stranger making decisions for your children? Not to mention a fact that the documentation is not necessarily accurate and written for satisfaction not truth. In my opinion, be cautious and tape-record the sessions which is legal in NJ. Look it up.

Dr. Hagovsky is more interested in the insurance coverage or payment.

Dr Hagovsky has done wonders for me in offering healthy perspective with respect to coping with difficult relationship issues. He is a man of integrity who will prove vital to helping you navigate the often difficult path of resolution with your loved ones. I don't like to use superlatives-- but consider yourself lucky if you get to work with him!!

Extremely helpful in dealing with a very messy situation this past year. Dr. H really took the time and went above and beyond to resolve a yearlong issue with my ex.

He has relationships with at least two judges. He is lazy, unhelpful and favors the spouse paying him.

Dr.Hagovsky produce fake documentation and falsehood , He dose not care about the kids or family, His is connected to 2 judges in the family court . He did damage beyond repaid damage to my kid and took money from me . I pray for any one this Psychopath was in his case.

Dr Hagovsky was a forensic psychologist expert in a very painful year long custody battle between me and my husband and our child's birth mother. He was the mothers expert who was hired to weigh-in on many issues that arose from the litigation, (including parental rights, relocation and custody). His job was to make assessments, decisions and suggestions that were in our daughters best interest. His knowledge came from court documents and insight gathered over 3 three months and many hours of meeting with me, my partner, our daughter and the birth mother in our homes and at his office. He wrote a report that was submitted to the court and he also testified at the trial. I am writing this not because I am disgruntled and on the losing side of the litigation. In fact we WON everything, despite his best efforts to thwart justice and promote his clients flawed agenda no matter how erratic, and far fetched it was. Once he submitted his report it was clear to everyone that he did not put… our daughters best interests first. In his report he did not acknowledge "proofs" given to both experts during the interviewing process- yet accepted them graciously when submitted. These were crucial proofs about parental alienation, abusive behavior, deeply disturbing actions and proven dishonesty. Thankfully our forensic expert did include them in his report and all were also brought up as exhibits during trial, a massive blow to Dr. Hagovsky's credibility. Our forensic expert wrote a detailed 44 page report with recommendations, multiple scenarios, possible out-comes and potential solutions that would benefit our daughter most. Dr. Hagovsky wrote a bland sub par 19 page report which said very little more than "it would be great if everyone could get along" and then he testified. On the stand he came out punching in defense of the mother. It was as if there were two people- the guy who wrote the report and they guy who testified. His testimony came off disingenuous, contradictory to his own report and, based on my interpretation of the Judges Decision, discredited himself greatly. He behaved like a "hired gun" and good for us one who "shot blanks". My opinion is that if you are on the right side of justice you should steer clear of this guy and PRAY your opponent hires him.

In my opinion, you should REALLY rethink using this psychologist for your divorce/custody decisions. In my opinion, his custody report was minuscule at best with little to no forensic custody benefit to my children. In my opinion, he did not act as forensic psychologist (voice for court) for my children and I believe he favors the spouse who is paying his fees. In my opinion, his report reads more like a spousal popularity contest than a forensic child custody report. Plus, there are very few psychologists who do this work and in my opinion, the court values him only by a repetitive recognition relationship. He has probably submitted several hundred-template reports to them over the years. In my opinion, he dragged out my case for SEVERAL MONTHS, did not read supporting documentation, not interested in acknowledging an emotionally abusive and aggressive spouse. In fact, in my opinion joked about it in my report knowing that my children had to live through this abuse as well.… His report consisted of mostly a summary of what each spouse had to say about each other, In my opinion, he left out serious and significant statements/accounts of my custody case that needed to be written and addressed regarding my childrenâ??s welfare. He did not even report correctly what I did for a living or write accurately what I stated about my childhood history! In my opinion, when he paraphrased our sessions in his report most of the information written was open-ended in the report. In my opinion, He focused mostly on adjective words and put them into "quotes" to make the report look fancy. In my opinion, there were so many contradictions and inaccurate details in his report and if you have any concerns about abuse please seek out someone who specializes in these matters such as the DCPP, The division of Child Permanency and Protection. My advise to you would be to please try and work out your custody issues without a custody evaluator. Keep in mind, this could change the course of your children's future and they are already going through a difficult time. In addition, in my opinion, obtaining custody evaluators breads more contentment against your ex spouse and divorce tensions can become extremely heightened during this experience. If you cannot work it out or you are required to seek a custody evaluator, research the evaluator heavily. Read through all of the custody cases he was a part of which can help you gain insight on how to prepare for his sessions and learn what to expect from this relationship. You can see how his opinions evolved over the years and how his professional recommendations changed. The trend now in New Jersey courts are very much in favor of fathers regardless of their parental capabilities and neglectful/abusive parental character past and present. In my opinion, these trends influence all persons involved in the divorce/custody system. In my opinion, your attorneyâ??s recommendations for involving additional divorce exports may not be in yours or your childrenâ??s best interest. In my opinion, I would also tape record your conversations, which is perfectly legal in the state of New Jersey right now. This way you cannot be misquoted and you have all verbal records. Also, in my opinion, he will not guide you on your discussions and concerns about your children. So please be clear and precise because too much verbal information is not helpful. He sat with me quietly listening almost every session. In my opinion, at one point in our sessions without warning challenged me as to what my spouse had to say about me just to see my reaction and to put me on the defense regarding trivial issues such as being 10 minutes late to my childâ??s dance recital. I had never been through a custody evaluation nor did I know what to expect. In my opinion, I paid thousands of dollars to hear lies about me of what my ex spouse had to say and felt obligated to respond to such petty matters. Keep in mind, an evaluator may not like you or believe you and he did not live in your household. He can only hear a fraction of what your marriage and family life was/is like and if not reported accurately there are â??no do overs.â?? This is what I paid $12,000 for to be put under a microscope unjustly, and I ask, is this helping your children? I produced emails, documentation, medical etc. accept in my opinion; he paid very little attention to such important forensic facts concerning my children and chose not to report it. Though it is my opinion to provide copies to him anyway since you may need it as custody evidence in the future. The key is to trust your own motherly instincts not him. When everything is said and done you are still raising your children and your life goes on. He is a mere stranger in the divorce business and could end up influencing an irreversible path for your childrenâ??s future. Believe me you do not want that! If I had a magic ward and knew what to expect from this custody evaluator experience I would sooner give thousands of dollars to charity! Sincerely, A loving parent
