I would never recommend especially if you have children.. This Doctor can care less only if she's giving you medication if your a drug addict...She does not care you wait 2 hours for her to sit with you 2 seconds and tell you she does not have time for other health concerns ….. she's is horrible... my daughter had a horrible cold and told me it nothing without running any test now my child has see a specialist

No one ever answers the phone when it comes to rescheduling an appointment or making a new appointment. They also charge you a 25 fee if you call the same day to cancel or reschedule your appointment. They mark it as a no show.

Physical was less than two minutes, staff extremely disrespectful, contacting the office via phone is almost nonexistent waiting time approximately one hour. Staff doesn't return calls when messages are left in voicemails. Private insurance patients are required to schedule appointment so they can bill your insurance. Appointments mandated for refills, documentation, and any questions to the Doctor. Best yet, you are only permitted to discuss two medical concerns. Pray to not have the flu, otherwise choose WISELY!

Great service, accurate diagnosis. I love this place, finally have a doctor who properly cares for me and my family.

She is a great doctor and is very knowledgable. she helped me recover from an illness that previous doctors couldnt do anything about.

I have never heard of, or experienced, a Doctor Office before that when calling for an appointment when ill being told that either 1) wait 4 to 6 weeks for an appointment or 2) go to the emergency ward for treatment if you can't wait. That is this office's first response to any call. My wife has now developed a pattern of not accepting initial response and arguing with them to get an earlier appoint. I on the other hand will move to another practice. My wife depends on a Doctor who speaks fluent Spanish and is most comfortable with a female doctor.I have found Dr. Matilda Sotomayor a friendly and caring doctor, but I will no longer deal with her front office personnel. I won't even go into the number of times that scripts were incorrectly filled out, necessitating multiple trips between Doctor offices, labs and pharmacies. Or the number of times that scripts were not phoned into pharmacies causing endless round robin calls and missed medications. Oh, and historically the… attitude of many of the desk personnel is abominable, though I must say that dealing with Betty for prescriptions, even when there is clearly a communication issue between the Dr office and the pharmacy is a pleasure. Also there seems to have been a frequent turnover of office staff, and I sense a slight improvement in attitude, if not in appointment policy. But I am not sticking around to see if this trend will continue

The service that is provided at this office is the most unprofessional, disrespectful, unsympathetic office ever. They don't care about your needs ever. Every time you try to contact the office to ask a question or mostly anything really... They just don't seem to care at all. The receptions have a very bad attitude. They also never answer the phone and when they do they seem to give off the attitude as if your bothering them. Dr. Sotomayor's office staff and doctors are the wost ever. The only reason that she has patients at all is because they have high Latino patient base that don't know any better and will just sit there and take this kind of treatment. It takes weeks and even months for you to be seen at this office. Here's an example: If you were to finally be able to talk to someone at this office and ask to be seen sometime during the day because you haven't been feeling well for the past couple of days... they will flat out tell you NO, very unsympathetically. Then you will… tell them that its an emergency... and they will proceed to tell you that they will have to schedule an appointment to receive treatment/care. If you ask me this should be taken care of by your doctor as soon as she can on the first day they call you. Let's face it you have a family practice office because of your patients that go to your office to receive care. People who pay money to be seen by you. Dr. Soto Mayor's office has to have to worst staff in this office in Berks County. They don't care about the patients needs at all. My family has been with this office for the past 6 years and enough is enough! I will be taking my services elsewhere along with my family and will spread the word on how this office continues to treat their patients.

my father was a patient was highly missed diagnosed, turned he had melanoma and she never sent him to a specialist and gave him cream never followed up, he had to have surgery, that is last he saw her.....she caters more to welfare patient, then to people with real insurance, that is sad, were are the middle class people suppose to get medical tx.

First doctor in a LOOONG line of them to make eye contact and answer all of my questions without acting annoyed or harassed. She took longer than most other doctors out there would to educate me on kids conditions more than once. Puts thought into your situation before perscribing meds(pregnant, no insurance, side effects). Has reasonable rates for office visits if you are uninsured. Didn't make me schedual an unecessary appointment to get one of my perscriptions refilled. Actually listens to what you are saying to her, as well as concerns you have, instead of just assuming she knows. She also just hired a peditrician, an older woman, who is awesome. Very proactive. Didn't just tell me to see how it is in ... long. Neither Dr.Soto or the new ped. Dr. spoke down to me like most doctors due to my age, or their education, or whatnot.
