Simply stated, Dr. Acampora is the best doctor.

Dr. Acampora listens to me. He never seems to rush and has taken very good care of me and my sister and nephew.

Dr Acampora has been treating me and all of my family members including my mom and dad for the past three years. I have always found him to be available, caring and takes time to listen. I started seeing Dr. Acampora back in 2010 when we moved here and needed to find a new MD. He was nice enough, smart enough, and treated me like a person. Since then, he has misdiagnosed me at least 3 times, costing me thousands of dollars and almost putting me on unnecessary medication. An example: I had lower abdominal pain and he said he'd bet me $1,000 that it was my appendix, he was certain, even after I told him I had ovarian cysts. He insisted I go to the hospital and told me that if I didn't, it would be against medical advice. He ordered a CT scan and, low and behold, my appendix was completely fine and a cyst had burst. $4,000 and a lot of stress later, I STILL went back to him. Another example: I went in with acid reflux and he was going to put me on 6 weeks of antibiotics for H. Pylori, a stomach bacteria. I ASKED him if he could do a test and he said, "Fine". I told him I'd wait on the antibiotics until the test results came back and, again, everything was fine. He did… send me for another expensive test that confirmed my acid reflux. His staff techs and assistants are quite nice, though the woman working the front desk can be very cold. They are slow with getting test results back; sometimes it's weeks for something that came in the day after it was taken and I'm comparing this to 3 years ago when the practice actually cared about their patients. The last straw for me was when I called on a Saturday because I had to go in for some blood work THAT DAY. The machine said I could talk to the Dr. on call if it was an emergency, and in my opinion, it was. Dr. Acampora answered and went up one side of me and down the other, saying I can't call that number if it's not an emergency, which this wasn't, and then went on to yell at me like a child, asking me a number of times if I understood. He spent more time yelling at me than if he'd just let me speak! That following Monday, I called to tell the office that my husband and I were no longer going to be patients there and that it was Dr. Acampora's fault for not treating us like human beings.

Dr. Acampora is a phenomenal doctor. I have been seeing him for many years and there is not a doctor in town as caring as him.

Dr Acampora and his wife claim to be all about treating patients like family...Well would they cancel their families prescription because they owe five dollars?

The doctor was very interested in answering my questions. Hooray for that! I appreciate the availability of the nutritionist.I recommend Dr. Acampora highly.

I have been seeing Dr. Acampora for the past 3 years and have never had a problem making a same day appointment. I have never had a problem speaking with the doctor or his staff. As a matter of fact, when you call after hours to speak with the doctor, you are connected to his personal cell phone and he answers the call. He is truly a rare find.
