Matthew J Applegate, MD

A Colorado native, Dr. Applegate attended the University of Colorado at Boulder for his undergraduate studies. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Colorado – Denver in Aurora. Dr. Applegate completed an internal medicine residency with SCL Health – St. Joseph Hospital in Denver. As a board certified internal medicine provider, Dr. Applegate’s clinical interests include preventive medicine and elder care.“I learned to appreciate the need for primary care and continuity. This desire to serve drove me to apply to medical school. In medical school, I was a founding member of the DAWN Clinic, a clinic dedicated to underserved persons in Aurora and continue to serve on the board of directors.”When not working, Dr. Applegate enjoys movies and tv shows (he actually collects DVDs and even a few VHS), pub trivia, cooking and baking.
