Dr. Matthew Benns, MD

Hello. I am not one to normally write negative reviews. However, the last couple of years watching my dad suffer at the hands of a “professional,” I can’t help but inform others of the neglect my dad has faced from this “doctor.” Dr. Benns is not a thoughtful, caring doctor. My dad had a hernea the size of a watermelon. For 2 whole years, my dad waited patiently for Dr. Benns to feel ready enough to operate on my dad, telling him to lose weight, lose weight, lose weight…only to be told 2 years later that he is not going to operate on my dad and completely discarded him. On top of that, we just found out in the 2 years of waiting for Dr Benns to operate, my dads gallbladder was completely rotted out by discovery from a different doctor who was skillful enough to finally do what should’ve been done a long time ago. He had gallstones as well. He just got hernea surgery, resulting in complications due to this being NEGLECTED by Dr Benns. He is neglectful. Do not send your loved ones to… him!

I was sent to the doctor after several others were not able to help me. He is so dedicated and caring. I have had my surgery and I cannot remember a time when I felt better. I will be forever grateful.

Dr. Benns saved my life. I was literally dying from an inflamed gallbladder and he operated on me and saved my life. He provided me with excellent after surgery care, explaining everything that was done and why it had to be done. The follow up appnts. at his office were very pleasant. I did not have to wait long, his office is very spacious, with a lot of the seats geared towards those like me with a larger frame. There is even a children's section. His receptionists and nurses were very attentive and friendly. I highly recommend Dr. Benns.

He saved my life and took all the pain away. I am so thankful I had him. He spent time talking to me and made me feel he was concerned. I cant say enough about him. If you are in need of a great Dr he is the one.

Very patient-oriented, compassionate about patient concerns. Very knowledgeable about my questions and resolving concerns. I was a new patient, with a potentially emergency and he took the time to see me that day.
