Went in for a bridge replacement, left with the temp bridge, and had pain which he said was gum soreness. Over the 3 1/2 weeks it took to make the new bridge it never stopped hurting, but rather got worse. Dr Billingsley maintained that it was normal and never prescribed anything for pain ~ even after I told him I was using every over the counter pain relief made 5 times a day every day for the 3 1/2 weeks we waited for the permanent bridge. So after it eventually became unbearable and multiple calls for help, I was finally allowed to go in 2 days before my scheduled appointment to have the permanent bridge installed. I was unaware that they already had the permanent bridge and were only seeing me in order to install it. But the tooth PAIN was off the chart, and they tried for 20 minutes to persuade me to have the bridge installed, and then have an endodontist perform a root canal by drilling right through the brand new $8,000 dollar bridge. My insistence to see an endodontist first… turned out to be the right call as he said that tooth would never support a bridge and he was unable to save it. The thing is, I never had any pain or issue with the old bridge before Dr Billingsley worked on it so I have no way of knowing whether or not he caused the problem??? It took another month+ and lots of calls before a refund was even processed, which eventually cleared a week after that, so nearly 2 months. My personal opinion of Dr Billingsley is that he is burned out and needs to step away for a time. One sign of burn out is being far more interested in getting thing finished than getting things right.
