Dr. Matt Bindewald has been helping San Antonio patients feel confident in their bodies for over 15 years. He specializes in breast surgery and body contouring after weight loss. Dr. Bindewald is a double board certified plastic surgeon based in San Antonio, TX. He is the head of the San Antonio Plastic Surgery Center, which has been trusted in San Antonio for decades. He grew up on the Big Island of Hawaii, where he attended the …Hawaii Preparatory Academy. He then completed his undergraduate training at the University of Colorado, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in chemical and biomedical engineering. Returning to Hawaii for medical school, he graduated from The University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine. He completed general surgery training in Santa Barbara, CA. This is also where he met his wife, also a well-respected surgeon in San Antonio. He served as a general surgeon in the United States Navy, and this is where he developed his interest in reconstructive plastic surgery. He then returned for additional training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center. Dr. Bindewald then joined the San Antonio Plastic Surgery Center in 2014, and the rest is history.
