Dr. Matthew Haynes Blomquist, MD

Dr. Blomquist received his undergraduate degree from Wheaton (IL) College, and his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine, graduating in 1991. He then did his internship in internal medicine at The Graduate Hospital (an affiliate of the University of Pennsylvania), and subsequently performed his radiology residency from 1992-1996 at the Pennsylvania State University Hospital (Milton Hershey Medical Center), serving as chief resident his final year. He subsequently subspecialized in cross-sectional imaging, performing a body imaging fellowship at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. Dr. Blomquist joined as an associate with Boulder Radiologists, Inc. immediately after his fellowship in 1997, and he became a partner with the group in 2000. Dr. Blomquist enjoys the diversity of this private practice and his interaction with BRIs subspecialists, as well as the collegiality of the medical staff of the Boulder Community Hospital campuses. Dr. Blomquist is board …certified in diagnostic radiology. He is a member of the American Medical Association, American College of Radiology, the Radiological Society of North America, the Colorado Radiological Society, the American Roentgen Ray Society and the Boulder County Medical Society. He has served on the Boulder Community Hospital Trauma Services Committee and as a member of the Medical Executive Committee. Dr. Blomquist is married to his beautiful and loving wife Ashley, and his interests outside of work include mountain biking, hiking, golfing, alpine skiing, and otherwise enjoying the beauty of the Colorado outdoors.
