Dr. Matthew Benjamin Blue, MD

From what i am seeing I’ve noticed that something is going on with this doctor. I haven’t been to the hospital ever since I’ve went and seen him. I had many issues like herniated disc and an undiagnosed sickness causing me immense pains and couldn’t breath and I went to see him 3:00 am one night and he came up to me and said I’m not dying and it’s acid reflex. I tried with desperation to say how much pain I’m in and he kept interrupting me and didn’t bother to listen and so I told him that’s if he’s not willing to listen then there’s nothing else need to be done and he was the the first doctor to be reported by me because I’m usually extremely patient but this needs to stop. I had many bad experiences with doctors at musc so I tried roper and Recieved Dr.Blue. I had to go to a different country to Receive emergency care because of my herniated disc because of malpractice and bad doctors. Dr. Blue was my breaking point.. when i needed help the most… I was crying in agony for the amount… of pain and wouldn’t sleep for many days and so I went and to Recieve one of the worst attitudes and nothing to be done and say that I’m wasting his time and I’m wasting money really broke me into pieces and I devolved disgusts towards him but I forgive Dr.blue because he’s human but it is unacceptable the amount of pain I’m going through and because of doctors lack of care and negligence I have to suffer this sickness because all doctors can really do is look at my history from years ago that say I’m fine. Something really needs to be done. Dr.Blue I forgive you but you really need to do better or you’re gonna harm more than do any good like you’ve done with me.

Went in with high Bo and abdominal swelling. Told me I had gas and need to address bp with primary. He told me your not gonna die this year or next year, but you need to get it under control. Told me I should go to er with these issues. I guess the hospitals are in desperate need of dr still. He was awful. His family and Roper should be embarrassed.

Came into the ER with back pain which I am familiar with been dealing with it on and off for about 15 years. It is due to herniated disc with sciatica. I was put into a room my pants were taken off and put into a gown giving a sheet. Never saw anybody after that until Dr blue came in he asked me who my normal doctor was and asked me why didn't I go see her instead of coming to the ER. Told him that this is a previous thing he told me he would prescribe me a prescription for steroids. I said can you give me something to help with the pain now he's like I would usually give you toradol but you can't take it you're allergic and I'm not giving you opioids. I never asked for opioids but I wanted something to help me until the steroids started working. Normally when I have this issue and I go to roper Express Care I am given a steroid injection and a prescription to get my body boosted back to where it should be. he was very rude loud and when he left out of the room cuz I told him to get… out he left my door wide open with only me and a gown. talk to the nurse was waiting for discharge papers she brought them he did not even include a prescription I had to ask where that was. Do not recommend

I presented to the ER with symptoms of the flu that hit me earlier in the day and began to worsen. I had already taken multiple medications that would have lowered my temperature but because I did not have a fever at the time and was not tachycardic, Dr. Blue refused to swab me for the flu (my PCP was booked and the Walk-in Clinic did not carry flu swabs). My friend was diagnosed days earlier and I've had the flu before. This felt like the flu. Meanwhile, when he left the room, I could hear him joking with the staff, like I was not important enough to take seriously. That visit was $125. I'm a 21 year old college student who rarely goes to the doctor. I will NEVER return to that ER again because of how I was treated. No, I wasn't a trauma patient and I didn't have a heart attack but I was sick and I thought I would be treated with compassion. I was wrong.

Left the ER in worse condition than how I came in. Did not offer any diagnosis at all for why I was in such pain. Total waste of $3,000.

I was quite distraught to be released from the ER with such cavalier regard based on the level of pain I was in on a Saturday evening. Even after stating I was unable to urinate and requesting an MRI, I was told I would need to contact a specialist on Monday and "wait in line for an MRI along with the other Mt. Pleasant Old Village yuppies." Two IM injections and I was out the door in tears. I ended up having emergency surgery two days later.
