Dr. Matthew R. Bong, MD

He and his staff were wonderful from the beginning. I went to him for a second opinion and am so happy I did. My surgery went well and everyone was so great and caring throughout the entire process. I would highly recommend.

Dr.Bong and his staff were great from beginning to end. I am so grateful for the quality care from him, his PA, the urgent care, and physical therapy. I strongly recommend him and the clinic.

Dr. Bong, from what I have read, is a pretty good doctor. When going for my appointment, I initially received a steroid injection. On entering the hallway, the "sterile" fields WITH the steroid already filled in the syringes, are wide open and line the hallway outside of almost every room. Obviously, today is 'steroid day;' but, that is ABSOLUTELY not sterile, and possibly against code (I am not certain and would have to look that up) --- but really... I am talking: syringes already pre-drawn and filled, band-aids completely open and faceup with solution already on them, cans for spray (numbing), gauze already out of the packages sitting on each field, a 'sterile field' already open below this, alcohol wipes already open... Inquiring of staff, in reference to this, the staff noted that this is what is "normal" practice here... Um, as a practitioner myself, I would NEVER 'line this up' down a hallway that everyone walks down, on occasion, by themselves - I did when I left, passing… 6 of them - having the ability to take, spit, cough, touch, gather particulates from the air or what is kicked up from peoples feet, etc., whatever my or somewhat else's heart desired. Thankfully, I told the staff that everything needs to set up in my room, in there original sterile packaging, and in my presence while I was there. Staff and Dr. Bong did not like this one bit! Shortly after becoming curt and irritated. There was minimal talking or explanation. Dr. Bong then gave me my injection, told me to follow up if needed, and left the room. Well, at least I stood up for myself. I recommend you all do the same. If you are not happy with something, follow your gut. A generalized client might not know some of these things. There is a lot more that I could list... but, that is the most important for me at that time.

Dr. Bong performed Anterior Hip Replacement on both myself and my husband, a month apart. We are extremely satisfied with our outcomes. I was back to playing Pickleball at 5 weeks!! No outpatient therapy, I followed my home exercises and instructions to a T!! Am back to playing tennis several times a week and snow skiing. I couldn't be any happier. Would recommend Dr. Bong to those wanting to experience a quick recovery time for a full return to activities!

Dr Bong has an excellent bedside Manner and is an even better surgeon. He is honest about potential results of surgery and very compassionate. I hope anyone who needs an orthopedic surgeon is lucky enough to work with Dr. Bong.

I went to Dr Bong for a problem I thought I had he he found a problem I did not dream I had.

Had Right Total Hip replacement 5 mos ago. best surgical experience I've had. Even at 66 y.o., recovered beautifully with no need for physical therapy. Dr. Bong's nurse called me every week for months to check up on my progress. Top notch practice.

He performed two ACL surgeries on me back to back and both failed after he released me to full activities. I was in High School and he cahnged nothing from one surgery to the other. Had Florida surgeon do my third ACL and have had no problems but he did many things differently than Dr. Bong. Another athlete had two surgeries back to back as well from him so he is not successful with ACL surgeries.

Having a hip done - is not an easy decision. Not only was everything about the experience exceptional. Every staff member follows the same patient first attitude. However beyond being treated wonderfully, the expertise from Dr Bong has made my life pain free -he is simply the best!
