Dr. Matthew Seth Bosner, MD

I transferred into the hospital at Ste. Genevieve after having shoulder surgery in St. Louis. I never met Dr. Bosner and I had a generally bad experience there. When I checked out of the hospital his name was on the medication prescriptions I was to have filled. Instead of discharging me on the Med dosages that my surgeon wrote, and I took while in the hospital there, he took it upon himself to change the dosage by half and reduce the treatment period by half. Had he met me, read my chart or the surgeons notes he would have known that there were reasons he should have left well enough alone. It appears to me that doctors in small town hospitals, and I mean small (27 beds), have a markedly superiority complex. They consistently value their own training above all other medical experts. I appreciate the value of small, local hometown hospitals, but that is what they are. They should leave the big decisions to the truly well qualified.

Dr. Bosner is very thorough. I have been seeing him for many years and have always received the best advice and care.

I am very happy that I made the decision to switch to Dr. Bosner about six months ago. I am feeling better than I have in years. He is always available if I have a question and he always explains things to me. Dr. Bosner has definitely improved my quality of life!!!

Dr Bosner is new to our community. I saw him for my blood pressure problems. I have been on many blood pressure medicines and they either made me feel bad or didn't work. He talked to me about my medical conditions and discovered that some of my other medications were the problem. When we changed some of my arthritis medicine and added a new blood pressure medicine my blood pressure has been good for 6 months.

I went there due to an excessive weight gain from a condition known as Hashimoto's Thyroiditis. I knew something was seriously wrong, and, decided to see Dr. Bosner after he told a friend of mine his specialty was with patients of the disorder. When I asked him, he said he has a lot of patients with Hashimoto's, but then said I must be eating incorrectly. He had me see a dietician, who disagreed with his assessment, so he ran up the bill, testing me for problems I had no way of having. I had to force him to schedule an ultrasound, then a radioactive iodine test to see what I had, and when the nodules came back cold, he refused to schedule me for a biopsy (cold nodules = potential cancer). If this wasn't bad enough, I started calling surgeons, endocrinologists, all whom were appalled and tried to get me a biopsy (another doctor succeeded and said to never go back to Dr. Bosner). He also refused to regulate my medication, giving me a .25 dosage when I should have been on a full… dose. Ultimately, had I not been diligent, I wouldn't be here today, as they found cancer and the thyroid was wrapped around other organs. It was close to spreading to other organs. I would not be here today if I listened to Dr. Bosner.
