Dr. Matthew Joseph Bott, MD

My mother was diagnosed with lung cancer through Sloan Kettering with Dr.Bott. Dr. Bott was not truthful with us from the start. He withheld information that would have helped us make different plans for my mother. We found out bits of information slowly after 1 month. My mother did not get her treatment as well until 2 months after being in Sloan Kettering Hospital with Dr. Bott . I am very upset with how this whole process went. I feel we could have prolonged her life with quicker treatment then waiting 2 months and Dr. Bott giving us the truth from the start. My mother was in Sloan Hospital for 2 1/2 weeks doing nothing, no treatment , nothing but a few scans. They told her she would get radiation in the hospital and never did. They pretty much threw us out of the hospital to get treatment 2 months later at commack location. By then cancer progressed. I am so angry at this situation,

Dr. Bott never showed me scans and did not explain further tests he order & my questions were not answered. Will not return!

I felt rushed at every appointment and was not explained reason behind further tests. I will not be returning and will be leaving for a caring DR.

Takes all the time you need to make you feel comfortable and at ease. I always leave the office knowing that I am in great hands and that all my concerns and questions are addressed.
