Dr. Boyce received his medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine, Richmond, VA. He completed his internship and residency training at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine, and he recently completed his fellowship in Movement Disorders from the same university. He started his private practice with Neurogological Associates in August 2010.

He has a special interest in deep brain stimulation as a therapy for Parkinson's Disease, essential tremor, and dystonia.

Dr. Boyce is the person you wish all doctors could be. He takes his time, really listens, answers questions with clarity, and returns phone calls. And he has a great smile!

I was referred to Dr. Boyce for my essential tremor which has grown increasingly worse over the past 2 years. He talked to me regarding treatments for my condition. He was very knowledgeable about the various procedures, side effects, risks, etc. After discussing the various treatments, I decided I am ready for the DBS procedure. He went into detail about the steps involved in this procedure. His demeanor was very positive and the entire visit was very positive.

No attention paid to my husband maybe the doctor would spend 3 to 4 minutes with him, and say see you in 6 months.

Dr. Boyce has been wonderful for me! He listened well, diagnosed my problem and discussed my alternatives for treatment. I have been back for a follow-up appointment and have found both Dr. Boyce and his staff to be very professional. I would be glad to recommend him, and I already have.

On my second visit with Dr. Boyce, I once again found him to be cheerful and encouraging. He shared some research with me on ways to improve my leg muscle control while I'm walking. I don't ever feel as if I'm just another patient. I feel that he genuinely cares about my long-term health.

My mother has had ET and then diagnosed with Parkinson over 10 years ago. We have taken her to several neurologist she has even had the DBS procedure. I was so impressed with Dr. Boyce our 1st first with him he took so much time with my mom who is 81 yrs old and asked my sister and I several questions. I hope and pray we have finally found someone who #1 CARES and can bring me mom some comfort,

I found Dr. Boyce to be a caring, compassionate and easy to talk to. After my exam he explained what I had in a manner that was caring.

Dr. Boyce showed a genuine interest in both my care and my overall wellbeing. He listened attentively to all my concerns and seemed to be in no hurry. He discussed with me his thoughts on the different diagnosis my symptoms indicated and asked my opinions and thoughts. He carefully explained his decision regarding my final diagnosis and involved me in the decisions regarding treatment. I left feeling that I was in very good hands.
