Dr. Matthew Beville Chandler, MD

Very bad doctor, lazy. Find another doctor, he is constantly on vacation, if you do manage to finally see him he will see you for a few minutes. He does not have time for his patients. He does not follow up. You can't reach him. If you care about your health, go elsewhere.

I had a 12:45 appt. scheduled with Dr. Chandler. He was so busy with other patients that he sent an assistant to talk to me at 1:40. He managed to spend 5 minutes with me (and the assistant) but he didn't remember anything about my patient history and prior visits to him. I plan to find a new GI doctor, one who is not too busy to do an exam, and then sit, talk and answer questions...He did not provide the kind of health care that I want.

Dr. Chandler was my Gastroenterologist in 2010. He was real thorough in investigating as to why it was difficult for me to eat and/or digest food without coming back up within 15 to 20 minutes afterwards. Unfortunately Dr Chandler was unable to come up with a diagnoses in time that led up to my Colon spontaneously perforating. He was not responsible for my colon perforating because he did absolutely everything he could to avoid anything serious from happening. It is still a mystery today as to why my colon perforated and why the doctors didn't see any evidence prior to the perforation. I still highly recommend Dr. Matthew Chandler and his team of doctors at the George Washington University Hospital Medical Faculties. Once you've experienced his expertise in his field you will not be disappointed.
