Dr. Matthew Chynoweth, DO

Doc Chynoweth has been my anesthesiologists three times in a row. Mr. Chynoweth was very good, he had great bed side manners and is friendly. He explained everything to me before every procedure. He took into every concern I had and answered every question I had. I would recommend Doctor Chynoweth.

I took my mother in for minor surgery. Dr. Chynoweth came into visit with us before the surgery and asked some questions. He is charming, but doesn't listen or remember anything about what he's told. My grandmother is taking some meds that typically cause a problem with anesthesia. This arrogant &#$ said not to worry about it, he knew ALL about working with these meds. He had it "under control." I should have trusted my gut and canceled right then. But I was not sure enough of myself to ask for another Dr. The results were disastrous, now my mother is paying the price. She will never be herself again.

He is funny and charismatic, which is engaging. However, he doesn't listen well. He seems more impressed with himself and what comes out of his mouth than what the patient has to say. These traits are dangerous and even fatal to you the patient. If he is your anesthesiologist be careful, take charge when he is at your bedside to make sure he hears, understands and most importantly remembers what you say. Don't trade your life for his charm. It's not worth it.
