Dr. Matthew Craig Cindric, MD

I have a complex medical history and was referred by my doctor to see Dr. Cindric for possible “nutcracker” and pelvic congestion syndromes. Dr. Cindric stated this was not the case and then went off on a tangent about drug-seeking and people looking for him to fill out disability paperwork. While I do see an array of doctors, I am not on narcotics of any kind and, when I need them, they are prescribed to me by pain management. I am already on disability for my other debilitating conditions, so my needing paperwork from him was not of any issue either. He also went off about how his name is being thrown around on social media and other places online as an “expert” when there are others out there more suited. He said as a surgeon, he does not make money if his hands are not actively engaged in surgery, insinuating that diagnosing is a waste of his time. Again, I was referred to him. I knew nothing of him prior to going there other than that he was recommended for my complex issues. In… Central PA, we have the option of many medical facilities if we are willing to drive some. Philadelphia and Baltimore are close enough that a good doctor would be worth driving for. He was not even worth my 20-minute drive. I would not have gone to see him if I had known he was such an unhelpful, cocky, a-hole. If he would have been sympathetic and said hey, I totally get you’re going through this and feel for you, but I really can’t help you that would have been one thing. He treated me as less than, not letting me get a word in, for our whole time together. Luckily, went to see another vascular surgeon who performed a venogram and diagnosed me appropriately with what Dr. Cindric said I did not have. I am in a Facebook group where I have seen his name mentioned several times. There are a few who praise him, but many stories are similar to mine. I recommend the drive to Johns Hopkins. Their surgeons are more than willing to diagnose and do not consider time wasted if they’re not doing surgery.
