Matthew Cohen, MD graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1994. He then attended New York University where he did his post-baccalaureate studies. Dr. Cohen worked at the Hospital for Special Surgery as an orthopedic research associate the year prior to attending medical school.Dr. Cohen received his MD degree from the Sackler School of Medicine. Upon completion of medical school, he performed his pediatric residency training at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine at Jacobi Medical Center.Dr. Cohen is board certified Pediatrician currently practicing in Long Beach, NY.

I am a new mother and Dr.Matt is amazing, he is so kind and takes the time to get to know the patient and the patients family. All of his staff is amazing and a pleasure to speak with. His weekend doctor, Dr. H is also great, hes very knowledgeable. I highly recommend.

Dr. Cohen is an amazing pediatrician. I feel so comfortable every time I bring my newborn to see him. He doesn't rush and he takes his time to listen to every concern you may have. I am so glad I found Dr. Cohen. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

We have been going to Dr Matt for over 5 years and two kids. He’s thorough, approachable and knowledgeable. The staff is always so amazing and engaged with the kids. I highly recommend Dr Matt and his team as we are always well taken care of and most importantly all of ur concerns are always addressed.

I found Dr Cohen very arrogant. My daughter had me bring my grandson to his office because he had a fever, nothing serious. Because I didn’t know the degree of his temperature he made some condescending remarks like I was stupid. I’m just the messenger in this situation. Maybe it was above him to take my grandson’s temperature? He’s very intimidating and not very comforting. He’s definitely impressed with his doctor status. First impression are so important. If I was raising my children today I would not recommend him to anyone.

Fantastic doctor. I'm very glad we met him and my daughter absolutely LOVES Dr. Matt and his entire staff.

Very intelligent , caring, and always hardworking . Dr Matt is one of the finest doctors in Long Beach and I think he has the award to prove it

This practice was a complete disappointment. Dr. Cohen is extremely condescending and keeps running out of the room while you are in the middle of asking questions. He overbooks himself and attempts to see 5 kids at once, he spits information out at you like a machine-gun and hands you some generic print out that he's given you a million times already. His "friendliness" is so transparent and his ego is so big he doesn't want your child seeing any other doctors/specialists if you have concerns. I would absolutely NOT recommend this doctor. Long Beach is better off with him in Rockville Centre.
