Very personable and very knowledgeable

Dr. Matt is thorough without going overboard. We switched over to him from another pediatrician because he did not fill in the blanks when recommending shots or treatments. Dr. Matt supports his recommendations with background information and/or research. It's always clear in our minds that we can trust him! He is so great with our kids. I don't feel like my kids are just a number with him and that's important to me!!

We do not vaccinate. He doesn't support this, but we do not feel condemned by him for not doing it either. What I do like about him is that he gives personal experience concerning his reasons for vaccinating. For instance, when we didn't want the Hep B, he didn't mention a word, but when we declined the whooping cough, he gave us a personal experience about his residency and a patient that he actually treated bc they were not vaccinated. Although we still declined, I appreciate his answer over a text book answer any day. He openly supports my decisions for herbal supplements and remedies and seeing a chiropractor before I would take my children to see him. He is very good about meeting for initial consultation too and during ours he didn't make me feel like he was selling himself or the practice, but I definitely felt like he would have stayed much longer to answer any questions that I had. That's what sold us. He also has sick/well waiting & exam rooms.

Dr. Matt is caring and really takes more than enough time to make sure I understand...he takes time to explain not only what he THINKS it is, but also what he doesn't think it is and why; explaining the sypmtoms even of what he doesn't see. VERY thorough, and my kids LOVE him (of which there are 4). :o)
