Have being seeing Dr. Erwood for years - always nice, professional and straightforward with his diagnosis and options. He did 2 cervical fusions for me and continues to provide excellent care.

This was the most horrifying experience that I have ever had at a doctor’s visit. The doctors assistant, met me with hate. I told her that her energy was not good and it was frightening. She looked at me and shook her head as if to say oh well. She didn’t say oh I’m sorry I made you feel that way or I apologize I’m having a bad day. I said the hate you give is really bad. So now I’m thinking that I should just leave because I would not put my health in the hands of someone like this. I decided to see how the doctor energy was before I left. I’m now paying attention to every detail. The first thing I noticed, he shook my hand, introduced himself and immediately wipe both of his hands on his scrubs. I asked the assistance for her name because I was gone to let the administrator know how I was treated. She didn’t care. And then the doctor put his head around the door and says she’s doing the best she can. She is helping me to take care of you. I knew at that point I would never return.… The doctor looked at a CD that I had of my MRI and gave me 3 options, that was it. He was defending her negative actions and he walked away. I did speak with the administrator and he apologized, about the situation. The assistant called my name and I had to run to catch up with her, to get to the room that I was to wait in. The look and the energy from that moment was filled with hatred, why I don’t know. I wouldn’t trust a person like that. I know this sounds weird but it’s real. Sommer knows and I know what happened and what I felt. The scary thing is she didn’t care. She is in the care giving environment.

Dr. Erwood was very polite and explained my situation well to me and how we needed to address my pain. I hope everything is going well.

Dr. Erwood corrected a painful herniated disk in my lower back that was causing nerve damage and muscle problems in my leg. He gave me realistic options and wasn’t pushy. I was terrified to be under 40 and having such a major surgery but his staff (seriously, from front counter to scheduling to nurses/techs) made the whole process comfortable and fast. Now I’m a few months out from a minimally-invasive surgery, and I know for certain I made the right choice to have it with Dr. Erwood and his team.

What a wonderful relief of my pain in my cervical spine! Dr. Erwood and his staff explained my situation after having an MRI. I’m 10-12 weeks out from my surgery and word released yesterday. Recommended PT and I continue with that for 6 more weeks. This team is great! They were all a blessing!
