Dr. Matthew Charles Fedor, MD

Dr. Fedor is a leader in electro cardiology, known among his peers as among the best. While some noted his manner may be abrupt, I disagree —he is concise and brilliant, traits you want in this constantly changing science. He fixed my A-Fib. If you want the best, you research outcomes and reputations among the experts who really know this field. I did. As former patient (and healthcare person myself) I owe my recovery to him. The litmus test: ask another electro cardiologist who they would want to do an ablation on their own mother and they would choose him.

We were scheduled to see Dr. Fedor but, after the nurses aid took vitals, etc., she said a 12-lead ECG was necessary. Upon asking why, she said Dr. Fedor insists that all his patients have an ECG before he sees a patient. We asked again about the indication for the test and the aid left to ask Dr. Fedor. Upon her return she repeated Dr. Fedor's mandate but did not describe why. She also related that we could go somewhere else for a consult....we left. Dr. Fedor never entered the room to speak with us.

Dr Fedor was exceedingly rude and treated me like a misbehaved child. Watch your written records after appointments with him as they reflect his behavior. I had testing done and his verbal diagnosis did not match the testing results. I had seen and read the testing as had my PCP. She had sent me with a list of questions that he refused to answer. When I told him I had seen the test results he confirmed that they were correct but untreatable and therefor “nothing”. After additional appointments I have changed clinics and am receiving a much higher quality of care.

At my first visit with Dr. Fedor I was told I would be having a surgical procedure the following week. I have seen him twice since then. Both times he was terse, rude and lacking in manners. He has never asked me about my physical activities, yet he informed me that I was out of shape and lazy. His advice was to start running and come back in a year. I was treated like a whining little child. I have yet to be seen any before an hour past my scheduled appointment time, only to have him spend literally less than two minutes rudely talking down to me. He doesn’t take time to answer questions or listen to concerns. He doesn’t talk with a person, he talks at them.

He has no compassion or empathy. I believe he's a great doctor he needs to work on his manners. I am having to find another doctor to deal with my high blood pressure and lower EF. After basically being blown off the last couple of visits it's time to look for a new Cardiologist.

Must have to many clients even after he did diagnosis, installed a device, ordered a stint put in and after not seeing me for 3 months did not know me or much about my condition. No compassion from this doctor. I would not recommend. It seems he thinks his title of cardiologist puts him up on a pedestal he does not explain much but shakes his head a lot.
