I generally don’t write reviews; however, I feel that Dr. Ficenec’s exceptional care and professionalism warrants one. My mother and I have both been cared for and treated by him. He is a gem of a surgeon — thorough, compassionate, and personable. Should myself or my family need surgical care (again) in the future, we know where to go. I highly recommend his services.

He is wonderful; from day one thru the entire healing process. Excellent bedside manner, explains everything that is happening, never in a hurry during your time with him, and very attentive to your concerns. Best doctor ever, I am so glad I was referred to him by my oncologist. If there is any more surgery in my future I will be going back to Dr. Ficenec! I would recommend him to everyone.

I had a colonoscopy and I wanted hemorrhoid removal. This Dr took the time to look at the situation and advise me of the risks and benefits of the surgery and what I could expect as a reasonable result. Hemorrhoidectomy was not the answer for me. I very much appreciated his expertise in the situation. He did a very thorough colonoscopy.

I have never had any type of surgery before my Hernioplasty. I had a direct inguinal hernia I got from a very very hard cough. After 7 months of torture trying to 'deal' with it, the ladder 2 months spent out I work I finally went for surgery. I hadn't met Dr. Ficenec until the Monday before my surgery (thursday morning). He was very professional and had more then an open ear. His procedure included a mesh patch, and lasted under an hour. I'm 2 days recovering now and the pain is subsiding almost hour by hour. I'm fully satisfied with the entire experience and happy to have been so lucky!

This is a very down to earth Dr. He is very approachable and professionally admired by the nursing staff at the hospital.

Dr. Ficenec was my surgeon five years ago, and has done some diagnostic work since then. He has watched over me like a guardian angel during the five years. He even visited me in the recovery room when I had throat surgery and was not his patient. He is an exceptional surgeon and person. He deserves more than justs 4 stars.
