Dr. Matthew Scott Forcina, MD

I have been a patient of Dr. Forcina for around 5 years now. I was in the hospital back in I believe 2016. I was new to Michigan at the time and have had cardiac issues an LAD stent at age 32 however I am a marathon runner with a 2:23:16 PR that still enjoys hard cardiac endurance activity. Dr. Forcina was understanding of this and most importantly took a strong study of my cardiac case. I am very satisfied with the care I receive from Dr. Forcina even though I am able to use the VA I feel having an expert specialist like Dr. Forcina in necessary.

I was a patient of Dr. Forcina. If you want to see the worst cardiologist with the most awful bedside manner and typical nature to go to extremes in treatment then GO AHEAD and see him, I had seen his predecessor before who was exceptional but he had retired. I had been seeing him for 12 years so had many years of experience in seeing cardiologists and what to expect. Dr. Forcina is definitely NOT what ANYONE should expect in patient care, knowledge of his specialty, ability to explain what or why he's doing what he's doing, or attention to the patient's request for tests to be done based on prior history of them being done (after 12 years of dealing with your own body and knowing what it's telling you). His staff is also extremely rude, incompetent and truthfully I would say lazy. You are treated as if you are a bother, the what pays their paychecks as they don't do what they are asked to do by the patient like simply making copies of records up to serious things like getting… required testing setup. I also had a prescription refilled and Dr. Forcina wrote it for double the strength that I had been taking. Thank goodness I caught it myself and called the office to question it. While it was truly his fault, I didn't even get an apology. "It was an oversight" I was told. On another occasion when we were waiting for results on genetic testing he specifically had requested and I had called several times to find out if they had arrived, his excuse then was " oh, sorry, they were in the wrong pile" on my desk. He clearly has no consideration for his clients. With the knowledge I already had of my previous conditions and the current one that came up while being treated by him, I came to realize that when I asked him questions, he didn't really know for sure what he was talking about. As I would continue to ask questions to get to an answer since he dances around them when he's unsure, He changes his answers many times. I would not send my worst enemy to see Dr. Forcina. He is truly the WORST CARDIOLOGIST IN THE METRO AREA. SEE ANYONE ELSE !!!

Liked that he is a modern thinking doctor. Doesn't do test because that's the way it always has been done. If a test is needed he explains why.

Dr. Forcing is an excellent cardiologist. He displays a real interest in his patients. I would highly recommend him to anyone with heart palpitation issues. Thank you Dr. Forcina.
