Dr. Matthew Howard Gibson, MD

Had Dr. Gibson for my last two visits. He talks very fast and down to you. Before I could literally even say one word or tell him what was going on he had his computer in his hand and was trying to walk out the door. He needs to learn to actually talk to his patients and not treat them as an inconvenience. The office and staff are wonderful but see a different Dr.

I have had mostly good experiences with Dr. Gibson. He has been my primary caregiver for quite some time. When I was experiencing weird symptoms due to a vitamin deficiency, he sent me to several specialists until the problem was solved. I like that he took that much time and care to solve the problem. He even called to make sure I was following through on everything. My only complaint is that he talks very loudly (I can hear everything he is saying to the patient in the next room), and he doesn't always listen to me. His nurse asks me lots of questions and then he comes in and says it all back to me, tells me what he is going to do about it (medicine, etc.) and then leaves without asking me how I feel. I would like for him to ask me the questions himself and get a clear picture of the problem. I don't want to talk to the nurse about it. I want to talk to my doctor. But I do like him.

Always said he was a good Dr. My complaint is appt. was scheduled 3 month out and I was not given a courtesy call to remind me of such. I proceeded to reschedule a week later at which time I arrived at 330 not 3:00 as scheduled, due to my mistake. . The receptionist said the Dr. told her I would have to reschedule I was 1/2 hr. late. I have always had to wait to see the doc. at least 30 minutes on every visit, so why turn me away. Unhappy In Williamsport.
