Dr. Matthew Timothy Graf, MD

By far the best doctor I have ever had. He is very kind hearted and took care of my family very well. He delivered my son. He even cut his vacation short to be there for us. We are truly going to miss him. Our little family was sad to hear he is moving and he will forever hold a place in our hearts. he helped us through our depression and anxiety and helped put us on the right track mentally and physically. Thanks doc!

I’m sure that Dr Graf is an excellent doctor but I have no way of knowing because he fumbled two of my appointments. I requested a new general physician when I moved to town and was given an appointment with him. It was supposed to be an “establish care” appointment which are longer. He was late apologized and said he had a meeting to get to but he would treat my primary concerns. I have recurring depression and asked for help. He suggested birth control for mood swings (fine) but did not want to give an antidepressant without another appointment but would consider drug “K” for me. Fine. Came back a few weeks later and he was very, VERY late- I was kept waiting for an over hour in a small room- not the best for mental health, I was anxious. He came in with two medical students in tow. He said “and why are you here today?” He seemed to have no notes on our first visit. I reexplained my symptoms and concerns and took questions from all three of them. Again, this was making… me anxious. I believe that Med students need to learn but I felt like I was on display and none of them knew why. I mentioned drug “k” that he recommended previously and he was puzzled. “I wouldn’t recommend that.” I suggested a common treatment- cycling antidepressants with menstrual cycle to ease PMS. “No antidepressants don’t work that way.” I left with no help and no depression scoring at all. I then went to his colleague in the same office who had me do a depression screening immediately and on which I scored very high. She also said “cycling antidepressants is a proven method in treating pms related anxiety and depression, let’s get you started.” The difference? She had more experience and put my care above meetings and training.
