Dr. Matthew John Hunt, MD

My almost 3 year old daughter needed stitches and we went to Hoag ER and gratefully had Dr. Hunt. This situation could have gone many ways and most ways would not have been easy for anyone. Dr. Hunt and his team were so encouraging and empathetic. Wonderful bedside manner. No surprises. His energy was calming and his stitching was quick. I'm truly grateful.

Dr. Hunt stands out as a professional that gets the big picture and puts patients first. I was in the ER for a severe laceration (put my hand through a window by accident) and his attentiveness, quality of care, and manner were all amazing. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Hunt.

Even though I ended up not having meningitis (thankfully) and it turned out to be the flu. I was left with a LP headache.He was very kind and courteous and informed me of everything he was doing as he was doing it. He covered all of his bases and didn't assume what the problem might be and immediately started going down a specific route. He most importantly made me feel like I was in good hands which was very comforting when I was hacking up death from my stomach and whatnot.Wish he was a family practice doctor so I could schedule appointments with him instead of my current PCP =/.
