Dr. Matthew Kristen Johnson, MD

He constantly has his face in a laptop. I wonder if he knows one is there. Concerned that he does not like the elderly. A montage a trios between his computer, maintaining eye contact and the senior in his office does not work.

The office staff is one of the worst I've experienced. I have dual insurance and the front desk was refusing me to see the doctor for my scheduled appointment because I had an outstanding bill of less than 60 days. Their billing department is also one of the worse as they failed to bill my insurance and was making excuses that it was my fault and my insurance was cancelled. None of this was true as I have insurance through the Veterans Administration and in my case it does not expire. I have had some serious health issues that three other doctors have been unable to diagnose. At my first appointment with Dr. Johnson, he accurately diagnosed my problem and referred me to a general surgeon. I credit Dr. Johnson for listening to my problem. He and the surgeon saved my life and the agony of pain I had experienced for the last ten months. Without Dr. Johnson and the surgery I would not been able to write this review today.

Dr. Johnson seems fairly competent but has no personality and doesn't seem to like the elderly. I have had my mother in his office numerous times and he never once have I seen him touch her or even try to talk to her. She has alzheimers but he could at least try to communicate. He will sit behind the computer, ask me questions and make his diagnosis. The office seems unorganized. Instead of having the folder up front when we walk in they have to find it. I am not impressed and have not recommended the doctor or the office to anyone.
