Dr. Matthew Kuiper, DO

After 8÷- year's of excellent service at this office with Dr. Joel Bez now retired, and his PA Stephanie Willitts subsequently leaving due to office environment. I was left with absolutely no communication with Dr. Kuiper and subsequently being discharged from SMPC without any pain management/medication/referral, I was left with no other option than filing a complaint with the Michigan Attorney Generals office... I would Not Recommend anyone to SMPC under his care. Respectfully Submitted

Dr. Kuiper is the consummate professional yet compassionate, informative and highly skilled. If it were not for his superior knowledge of anatomy and his superior skill in pinpointing the exact area of concern I would have been an invalid these past 30 years This is no exaggeration. The pain I experience is totally debilitating but with the injections I receive I love a totally normal life. They last anywhere from 4 to 5 months. At one point my pain was so extreme Dr. kuiper did what is called a rhizotomy. It’s extremely difficult and does have arrests but I suffered none of those and was pain-free for four years. Just like anything else everybody has different experiences but mine has been nothing short of a miracle for my life and I am grateful Sandra Rentfrow

Very concerned with what I was experiencing. Answered my questions in a manner that I could understand. Explained the possibilities after hearing what I was experiencing. Told me where we would begin as treatments go, and where we would go if the first treatment didn't work. I'd highly recommend him to anyone who needed a pain management doctor.

I've been to Dr Kuiper and think he is a great doctor! He has a real concern for his patients and wants to help with them. Highly recommend him.

Terrible bed side manner. I was told he was going to put shots in my back. I have never had this done before and had some questions. When started asking questions, he said he didn't have time because he had other patients to attend to. For the prIces. They charge I feel that asking what is going on isn't asking for much, If your new to a pain clinic I suggest you go somewhere else. Go somewhere where they care about you and you are not just a number to be rushed through.

my first appointment with Dr l kuiper, was nothing but rude. Before a high or how are ya, [it was what is wrong with your eyes]. When Dr Gurnsey was there it was we will do our best to help you.I was also interviewed buy the kalamazoo gazette in witch i spoke very highly of . I think ill do the follow-up here shortly they requested dont thin it will be the same.

Dr. Kuiper is very easy to communicate with, and knowledgable concerning pain issues with my spine and joint problems. He suggested that I do injections for both SI joints at once and that has proven to work very well. I would recommend him to anyone with ongoing pain issues. I had a terrible experience elsewhere, so coming here has been way less stressful. I do get sedation, which also relieves the anticipation of any more pain. So, my visits are painless, and Dr. Kuiper is very efficient when giving me injections. Thanks so much.

They are interested in giving you shots and charging your insurance extrordinary rates. You are a individual, are not treated well at all. Often, you will receive little or no relief and wait at least one hour per visit.

When I first saw Dr. Kuiper because of the pain in my feet, I was not able to walk enough to go into a store for more than a few minutes. Certainly could not walk down one aisle even! He was very kind and professional and I would certainly recommend him as I am now able to walk.

Dr. Kuiper is not running a pain clinic he is trying to find drug seekers. I have three fused vertebrae, two metal plates, and three screws in my back and was treated like a junkie.
