Dr. Matthew Joseph Lutch, MD

Lack professionalism and poor bedside manner.

I've been a patient of Dr. Lutch for over a decade and you really can not find a better doctor. Kind, caring and thoughtful and most importantly, very skilled. There was a time when he moved away to northern california and I was treated by another Kaiser doctor. That doctor meant well but unfortunately the treatment was very uneven and caused so many issues that I almost took a medical retirement. Fortunately, Dr. Lutch moved back to San Diego and I resumed treatment with him and all was well again. It made me really appreciate his skills as a doctor and not take it for granted!

Had an outpatient procedure today which for me was a very big deal. I've never had a knife taken to me ever. Thankfully also for the first time ever I had a doctor that was not in a hurry to get rid of me. He was funny, listened and made himself available for my questions. He helped me relax and feel OK about the procedure. I heard him with other patients and he was just as jovial and kind. Awesome Dr.

Since I'm in a health care myself, I also expect that my health care professional is a people freindly person. It is also very important to me to be able to connect with my DR/Surgeon. I look for someone who is caring, informative, confident and compassionate toward their patients. I was fortunate enough to have Dr. Lutch as my surgeon who removed my vocal cord polyps with laser. His calm attitude made the procedure very relaxing. He also was explaining step by step as he was performing the surgery and the local anesthetic made it pain free. I will highly recommend him as a great surgeon.

Dr. Lutch is a very understanding and patient physician. He took his time with my mom, put her at ease and was just an overall caring doctor. He answered our questions, took his time with us and we had an amazing experience with him. I would recommend him to others.
