Dr. Marshall has been a breath of fresh air. As a nurse specializing in the care of special needs adults, I can not sing his praises enough. He has provided outstanding professional and compassionate care to a population that is many times dismissed as less than. He goes above and beyond in his tenacious treatment plans and commitment to his patients. He is personally responsible for saving the eye sight of a very difficult diagnosis while providing better vision to others. He never gives up therefore I can't thank him enough. Excellent physician.

I am a retired optometrist and had not shared that with Dr. Matt during my first visit with him. After graduating top of my class from Harvard Medical School and conducting research and development which lead to new industry wide procedures and technology currently being applied in clinics in most states, I retired early to enjoy my family and friends. I moved to Tyler to support my mother in her last years due to her having a critical illness. I was appalled by the manner which Dr. Matt conducted his medical review and also astonished by the poor guidance and suggestions that he provided. Simply said, the advise was not only wrong, but he also missed a major issue with my eyes that can simply be detected by conducting a very basic inspection of my eyes. My previous doctor in Boston and New York both detected it on my first visits. Needless to say that I have moved on to another location in the city with much better professionals. Avoid this gentleman at all costs.

Dr. Marshall is the best thing that could have happen to my vision. I suffered for years with my vision. Going from Dr. To Dr. Getting the run around and them getting my money. Dr's telling me im ok when I knew something bigger was going on with my vision. I decided to go to Heaton associates Where I meet Dr. Marshall. He was patient, kind, understanding and I could tell he loved what he did and was passionate about his work. I had many test done and he didn't stop until he found out what the problem was. In 2018 He diagnosed me with Kerataconus in both my eyes. Being 32yrs at the time i had no clue what that was. I thought I was going blind But with his knowledge,time,and dedication, I had my first Cornea Crosslinking procedure on my left eye Sept. 10th 2020. I can tell my vision is improving in my left eye. I will have the right one done on Oct. 13, 2020. Im 34 now and im here to tell you. I am and will forever be grateful for. Dr. Marshall. If it wasn't form him my vision would most… likely mbe nearly gone by now. He is truly God sent!!!

Awful experience,

Not only is he as a Dr awful but Heaton eye Associates is awful. I would NEVER recommend him or the facility to anyone. We have filed a complaint with the Texas Optometry board because of all the issues we have experienced with him and this facility. 24hrs after leaving his office we had to seek another doctor's facility assistance to receive antibiotics for an eye infection because this place was not wearing gloves, washing hands or using hand sanitizer between patients while touching faces and administering eye drops. NASTY PLACE!
