Dr. Matthew Donald Mccormick, DO

The ER staff and this doctor are very unprofessional and rude. He admitted me into the hospital saying my EKG came back abnormal, only to later find out by the cardiologist that it in fact was NOT abnormal. To me that is pretty scary if an ER treating doctor cannot read an EKG properly. Not to mention I sat in the ER for over 9 hours never once asked if I wanted something to drink or eat. Overall terrible experience.

I went to Silver Cross hospital because I have been going there for years. I arrived yesterday with shortness of breath and chest pain and was met with a doctor who not only was dismissive and lacked empathy, but incited a level of anxiousness and fear I didn’t even know where possible. He never let me actually speak when I had concerns about his course of treatment. I was told that he didn’t care what I thought as he was the doctor! Unprofessional and rude are vast understatements. Not sure I will be heading to Silver Cross’s ER for emergent care ever again! Please ask for a different doctor immediately! Also, please Silver Cross after seeing so many bad experiences I beg of you to take them to heart!

Very professional and knowledgable ED Physician.

My experience with him left me feeling scared to ever return to the emergency room should a problem arise. He ignored what I was telling him about my symptoms and sent me home with an information packet on pain in that region in my body. I later went to my dr who treated the underlying problem. Thankful it wasn’t truly an emergency after all.

This is the worst and most unprofessional doctor. Treated me like I was illiterate and didn’t know what the difference between an ER doctor and orthopedic doctor was. Horrible bed side manner. Didn’t greet me with his name. I was in severe knee pain bc I had a torn acl , mcl, and fibial bruising aswell as well as severe joint effusion and a few other things but yet had the nerve to push his fingers into my knee and as I’m explaining my pain he jumps to ask me about my hip and once I start to explain my hip pain jumps out and says I have a call .not to mention he came in shouting and rushing me as if the ER was even full? There were prob 3 other people with me . I had numbing around my injured knee and feared a blood clot but yet didn’t take any precautions and literally sent me right back home. I went in with hopes of leaving with answers and instead I left with more frustration. I am a 26 year old woman and i have two kids , i would be mortified if this man was to ever treat any of… my children. He is the worst and most insensitive person I’ve met in my life. Silver cross is a great hospital but they went wrong with this doctor!

Not understanding the past bad comments unless just written as a joke or some other bad characters. This doctor was fantastic and I really appreciated his bedside manner as well as his listening, understanding and explaining everything. In the end, he helped me tremendously and I got the care I needed and I am so very grateful. Thank you!

This guy is just terrible. He should not be interacting with anyone. He has zero bedside manner, he walked in while I was changing-without knocking, and he essentially called me a liar bc my xray came back clear. He belongs behind a desk in a parking garage. Whoever wrote that he was awesome must either be mistaken or it was him trying to boost his score. If you get this guy I strongly suggest asking for a different doctor.
