Dr. Matthew Stewart Mclean, MD

I began seeing Dr. McLean when my neurologist Dr. Lacour retired. H never could help me get my migraines under control. He would increase my meds, and when that didn’t work, he would decrease the. This was his game plan for me. And when I got to the point I’m ould no longer continue to work he did not accurately report my health to my long term disability insurance. This led to a denial of my claim. I repeatedly told him about how bad I felt and he even told this insurance ompany that I exercise daily. I’ve never exercised regularly. I am in bed with a migraine too many days. I wouldn’t recommend him to anyone. If he couldn’t help me, then that’s what he should have reported. I have since changed to a new neurologist and I’m much happier.

The guy looked bored during my father's follow up appointment from brain surgery. He was taken to Mobile infirmary with stroke like symptoms. The guy on call was Mcclean. So in the whirlwind of it all were stuck with him. Beside manner isn't great. He told my father he had a brain tumor before he had fully come out of his coma. Then for the follow up he had no idea the surgery had been done, and didnt seem to care because his group didbt do the surgery. I hope the Infirmary group has better neurologists than him. Im confident they do. I am not going to call someone Dr when they seem visibly disinterested, annoyed, and didn't answer a single question with an answer other than "maybe" or "i don't know". He didn't even have a time line for the recovery. Maybe he should stick to things other than brain surgery patients.

My Beautiful 78 year young Mother experienced a stroke while having lunch...911 was called and she was taken to Mobile infirmary and admitted to the NICU. Her Neuro status had changed and Dr McClean was on call...the Nurses called him for orders on what to do next in their stroke protocol and his response was the Lady is 80 years old she had a stroke and there's Nothing I'm going to do about it...He was perturbed about being called!!! My Mother died. They have a protocol that he did not follow because to him she was too old. Dr. Hinton was no better.
