Dr. Matthew Charles Morrey, MD

Dr. Matthew Morrey is truly one of a kind. I first met Dr. Morrey approximately 1 year ago when he accepted my challenging case and performed bilateral revision knee replacement surgeries on me. I originally had bilateral knee replacements by one of the biggest Orthopedic Surgeons in San Antonio. Unfortunately , only 6 months and 9 months later these knee replacements both failed. I was in constant pain and could not even walk. I lost my job and went on disability. My quality of life was dwindling and even worse I could not find a surgeon who was willing to do revision surgery on me. I looked all over San Antonio, Austin and St. Marcus but no one would accept my case, as revision surgery is very complicated. That is until I met Dr. Morrey. He openly agreed to take my case and from the first moment I met him, I felt extremely comfortable with Dr. Morrey. Dr. Morrey performed bilateral revision surgeries on my knees and both were successful. I am finally able to walk without pain… again and my quality of life has significantly improved. I am forever indebted to Dr. Morrey and his team. He has amazing bedside manner and the utmost patience. He spends time with his patients and makes you feel valued. Although he is extremely intelligent and talented, he is also very humble and down to earth. In fact, Dr Morrey visited me in the hospital every single day post-op and would even do the dressing changes himself. I am proud to be one of his patients. I thank God everyday for Dr. Morrey and wish there were more physicians like him.

Had an appointment on 2/42020 at 2:40pm with Dr. MORREY sat in waiting room for 1 1/2 hours, went up to counter to ask if he was running behind because it had been 1 he 20 minutes.The desk clerk went and asked the nurses in back and he came back and told me they were waiting on room. Then 10 min later told me he had went home sick. I drove 1 hrs for this appointment and sit in waiting room for an hour and a half and you ask me to come back tomorrow morning. Wrong I should have the right to bill you for my time you so wasted by being a no show!

Awesome surgeon. Had full left knee replacement, up and about the following afternoon, can walk & now jog again!

Dr Morrey replaced both of my knees and I am doing extremely well. I play softball and can run almost as fast as before the surgery. I have no pain at all. Dr. Morrey made sure that my pain was controlled and did a pain block so I would be comfortable after surgery. Dr. Morrey made sure that all my questions were answered and knew exactly what to expect. He is very funny and has a great personality. He did his residency at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota and is very experienced and extremely intelligent. I highly recommend Dr. Morrey and believe he is one of the top 5 surgeons in the United States

Dr. Morrey did what no knee surgeon in nearly 15 years had been able to do and that was find out what the first doc who replaced my husband's knee had done wrong which had resulted in 2 other replacements. Dr. Morrey found the problem, figured out how to removed the cemented piece and my husband was home three days after surgery walking with only his walker. GREAT and COMPASSIONATE physician! His entire staff is also amazing.

Dr Moorey performed an inappropriate knee replacement and basically destroyed my life by taking away my ability to walk.
