Dr. Matthew Henry Nissing, MD

He walked into the room with a mouth full of tobacco! Spitting in a cup. Horrible manners, curt and downright rude. I would not send a sick rodent to see this guy.

I am very picky about my medical care givers. I do not like to feel like a number or just an appointment. Dr. Nissing actually listens and takes time to discuss issues and concerns with you. He knows his patients and recognizes you when you visit his office. I have seen Doctors who don't remember me from visit to visit nor recall my issues, they are no longer getting my business. Nissing does. Good provider

I am presently looking for a gastroenterologist and after reading these reviews of Dr. Nissing I believe this will be my final choice. The negative review from a patient regarding privacy seems to be extreme. I'm sure he did tell the "driver" as a precaution for the patients overall care after the procedure. I doubt it was done to embarrass that patient. I'm glad there is a doctor that I feel will be helpful to me since I've never experienced gastro logical problems before. I want to thank those who took the time to write the reviews. They are very helpful to people like myself who are seeking care for these very important issues.

Dr. Nissing is an incredible doctor. I had stomach issues and my general practitioner (also wonderful) couldn't figure out what was going on. After losing 40 pounds in 2-3 months, she referred me to Dr. Nissing. He diagnosed me with Crohn's Disease within a month of me first meeting him. He has put me on a couple different medications until finding the one that best fits me. He wrote personal letters to my insurance 2 times trying to get me approved for the very best medicine there is, and after his second letter, they agreed. I have been on medicine and not had any issues in almost a year. I cannot stress how incredible of a doctor he is. I am shocked he is still accepting new patients- I hope you are lucky enough to be one of them! Dr. Nissing is the perfect doctor; he's kind, compassionate, fights for his patients, breaks things up so you can easily understand them, calls on his day off, and does whatever it takes to make you feel comfortable and that you understand/asked… any and all questions you have. I cannot recommend him enough!!!

Doctor Nissing is a wonderful Doctor he has not only saved my life, but has been an ongoing force in my healthcare. He is very sweet and kind and has an awesome bed side manner. He has watched me very closely while I overcame my battle with Colon/rectal cancer. I have never had a doctor to follow up with me and be my advocate like he has. He has been more than a doctor he has been a friend.

Dr Nissing literally saved my life. I first met him after being admitted through the ER. I was in the hospital for 2 1/2 weeks and on a feeding tube for 6. Dr. Nissing came almost every day - not one of those offices where you never know who you will see. He always took as much time as needed to make me feel comfortable and answer all of my questions. The same was true when I later saw him in his office. I have every confidence in his knowledge, training and ability. I have left feeling very satisfied every time I have seen him. I would give him a higher rating if I could.

Dr. Nissing violated my right to privacy by discussing the most intimate, private details of the most intimate, private body part with my driver after my colonoscopy, and probably within earshot of others in the waiting area. His description of the procedure was both unnecessary and shocking. He had no right to discuss the details of my procedure with anyone except me. He needs to learn professional courtesy, and I will not be returning to see him.
