Dr. Matthew Maximilian O'brien, MD

The examination was done professionally and was helpful in several areas. It showed I have some improvement needed and I am working on it.

I continue to see Dr. O'Brien because he actually takes the time to actively listen. He is one of a few Doctors that I feel is present during my visit.

You initially love Dr.O'Brien since he has a great bedside manner, but feel like you always yearning for more information. You ask questions that don't seem to answer adequately or sometimes not at all. You have you list to discuss and often are made to feel that you are just being silly or your concerns are irrelevant. Seems to take offense if you get a second opinion. If you are really persistent and aggressive managing your own health he will be good for you. Otherwise look for someone else.

Dr. O'Brian failed to show up for my appointment. I never received a phone call or notification until I took the day off, drove from Philadelphia, and was told by staff the Doctor notoriously shows up late and was surprised I wasn't told this. I was then charged a $50 no-show fee which the doctor refuses to release which I cancelled the next appointment in time, and requested my records to be sent to my new doctor. The staff was rude and didn't care about my accurate story.

Not very professional

Easy to get an Apt with but he really gives basic advice. Did you take an Advil for that pain, etc? Generally, most people come to see their Doctor after they tried the simple stuff. Beyond the simple stuff, he seems generally out of the comfort zone. I have only gone there as it's easy to get in. I am currently looking for a new doctor.
