Dr. Matthew Parmley, MD

Great doctor. He did my open heart surgery and I cannot say enough positive about Dr. Parmley. He literally saved my life and gave me many more years with my husband!

Waited in the exam room for 45 min. He came in introduced himself and said what can I do for you? Wants to wait 5 months to do surgery never said why the wait. Was rude never smiled all he did was get on to me about smoking . No the smoking is bad for me. Don't need to pay him to tell me. Asked me about my past med. history. He should have access to that info. I could not remember years and dates. Looked at me like I was a idiot. Will not go back to him. Might be a good surgeon but bed side manner is horrible.

My husband saw Dr. Parmley for a surgical consultation. We were very impressed with his knowlege and professionalism. The wait was not bad, maybe 30 minutes, but is understandable.

Let's see...where do I begin? Had over a 2 hour wait to see the doctor. After waiting over an hour in a full waiting room with other irritated patients, we asked how much longer and was told that all rooms were full and doctor had unexpected surgery. Fine, understand that happens but is it all that hard for the staff to keep the waiting patients updated as to what the delay is? Total disregard and lack of respect for the waiting patients. There was definitely a state of unhappiness throughout the waiting room. When we finally saw the doctor after more than 2 hours, there was no acknowledgment of our wait, and he acted as if he hadn't even read or seen the referral and tests that were sent over from the referring physician. The vibe from him was just weird and felt uncomfortable, like I was bothering him and taking up his time. Not sure that I trust the diagnosis, so a second opinion is being sought from a different surgeon in Arkansas now. Felt that it was a waste of time and money.

this doctor could not read simple test results. his staff is incompetent. he tried to do surgery on me while I had an infection, which is a huge mistake.
