I recently delivered at Sibley after seeing three different OB's at Reiter Hill throughout my pregnancy. Dr. Peterson was not one I had ever seen and so when it came for my delivery and they told me he was the doctor on call I was a bit disappointed that it wasn't one of the three I knew. The reason I write this is because I wish I had seen him during my pregnancy. He was amazing during the delivery, kind, detailed and supportive. He really helped me through a very long delivery (almost 3 hours of continuous pushing). He was professional and came to check on me twice after delivering. I have also recently gone back to see him to follow up on my repair and he was very thorough in explaining how I can better take care of myself, medicines, sits bath, etc. It's probably his demeanor and kindness that stand out the most and it makes a patient/new mother feel very comfortable. Thank you Dr. Peterson, you made my first experience of childbirth a great one.

He is a very good doctor

Dr. Peterson has a great bedside manner. He takes time to answer questions and hear your concerns. I never feel rushed. I put up with the bad front staff, because its worth it.

I saw Dr. Peterson at Reiter Hill in Chevy Chase. I really liked his bedside manner: knowledgeable, reassuring. He took the time to explain things to me and waited to be sure I didn't have any more questions before ending the meeting. He was patient and didn't make me feel stupid for having certain questions, which allowed me to be at ease. This office has a tendency to be extremely behind and rushed -- for this appointment, however, I waited 5-10 minutes max and left feeling good about things. I'd been debating whether to stay with Reiter Hill through my pregnancy or not -- was thankfully very happy with Dr. Peterson. The front desk staff can be a real hit or miss depending on the person/day, however.
