Dr. Matthew William Porter, MD

The worst bedside manner I’ve ever seen. Told my father who had blood pressure in the 200s and blood sugar in the 300s that he wasn’t dying and didn’t need to be there. Proceeded to not let me speak about the pre-existing conditions my father has and continuously said that it wasn’t his specialty. I was simply trying to provide a full medical history. Discharged my dad and told him to take 2 opioids up to 8 times per day until he could see an orthopedic surgeon. Only came into the room once, refused to let us hear from any other doctor and sent nurses to talk to us for the duration of our time in the ER while he sat behind his desk.

I supposedly saw this doctor in the ER, but I couldn't tell you because he spent less than 5 minutes in my hospital room. I then receive a bill for his services for $557, not including hospital and labs, etc., only to find out he is a medical student according to this website and has less than 2 years experience. No doctor is worth $100 a minute, especially a student with so little experience. He bills through a separate company in Fort Worth, who cannot give me any information except his name and what I owe. He apparently has no office to contact.
