Dr. Matthew Allen Powell, MD

I chose Dr. Powell after having seen another surgeon first. The contrast was unmistakable. While the first gave two choices of treatment, I felt lost in making the best decision. While the general diagnosis from Dr. Powell was the same, he explained my identifying situation, was singular in his suggested treatment recommendation, exuded confidence in his ability to execute that treatment plan and was friendly and pleasant in doing so. What’s best, everything he communicated came to pass. I did have to wait a bit from stated appointment times, but nothing unacceptable and let’s face it, there is no wait worthwhile for a doctor who isn’t in demand. I’ll wait a few minutes for the right doctor.

I find him to have a poor bedside manner. He is dismissive and he nor his office ever follow up, return calls or messages. Not impressed at all.

Dr. Powell is dedicated to his patients providing personalized and professional care. I never felt like I was just another patient of his. He is very understanding of the emotional needs and concerns of his patients.

He is confident and knowledgeable about current research. I trust the treatment plan he has given me. He also listens to my list of questions and, not only does he have an answer for every one, his manner is professional and kind. I appreciate the time he gives me. I never feel rushed.

Friendly, professional and thorough. I have been a patient for ~ 10 years.

So far, I am very pleased with Dr. Powell. He gives off a sense of confidence, expertise, & professionalism , that I admire. I am recovering now from laparoscopic surgery, & I feel my outcome will be very good.

Dr Powell has been my doctor since diagnosed back in 2011 and has been wonderful doctor. Very caring and takes good care of me.

Dr Powell was very friendly. Bedside manner awesome . He seemed to care and my whole uterine cancer bad experience was lessened due to his manner. He kept me and my family informed after the surgery and all of this lessened the anxiety.

He is a wonderful doctor! He takes time to listen to you. He is very honest and his bedside manner is excellent. Definitely recommend him!

I was very nervous when I switched doctors. But I'm glad I did.. He saved my life very nice and a very good at what he does.. I would recommend him highly had a bad doctor before him..
