Dr. Matthew George Powers, MD

Dr. Powers has done over 10,000 CT directed biopsies on all body parts including the brain, retro-orbital, upper cervical spine, and sphenoid regions. He has been involved with direct interventional arterial chemoembolization of liver metasteses and primary liver tumors along with CT and ultrasound directed alcohol injections. He has been actively involved in percutaneous transluminal angioplasty for the last twelve years and place Palmaz stents both in the biliary system and intra-arterially. In 1997, since it was cleared by the FDA, he has been performing Guglielmi Detachable Coil occlusions to repair cerebral aneurysms. He has recently been performing the Ancure Endograft system which is a minimally invasive technology indicated for the endovascular treatment of intrarenal abdominal aortic aneurysms in patients having adequate iliac/femoral access and morphology suitable for endovascular repair.
