Dr. Matthew Ranzer, MD

Dr. Ranzer wanted to perform a surgery that was interesting to him, not the surgery that I wanted, and I now live with a really awful looking chest that another surgeon will need to fix.

I was referred to Dr. Ranzer for the 1st time in June 2023 to discuss possible panniculectomy. When I say I could not be more happy with my results would be an understatement. From start to finish he walked me through what the procedure would look like, pre/post operative things. He, his care team and the team he works with at Mt. Sinai were phenomenal. I’m about 6 weeks out from surgery and I feel amazing. I look even better and it’s all because of Dr. Ranzer. I would definitely suggest considering him to do your procedure. The way my bikini line was cut is like “chefs kiss” I mean the scar is even and not raised. Again I know I’m only 6 weeks post op, but I can’t wait to see what it’s like 6 months out to a year. I have been living with the excess skin and terrible looking belly button for years and I’ve never felt more confident. Let me also give props to Dr. Ranzer bringing back life into a belly button I swear I didn’t even think existed. I LOVE DR. RANZER!!! Also, there is a… nurse or PA by the name of Cristina that supports Dr. Ranzer and let me tell you hands down this is someone you’d want working under you as a physician and for you as the patient. This woman single handedly pretty much made sure everything was in place for me in order to have my surgery completed and has continued to do so for my post op appts. She is so sweet and friendly and knows her job well. Almost felt like I knew her before becoming a patient of Dr. Ranzer

I first met Dr Ranzer when I was diagnosed with breast cancer and decided to have a double mastecomy with reconstruction. From the first time we met, I felt very comfortable with him. He is very detailed and always explains things very thoroughly. I just finished my reconstruction and I'm very happy with my results! Highly recommend!

Dr. Ranzer addressed all my concerns, discussed in detail the revisions needed yet made no unrealistic promises. Surgery was less than 3 months ago and I haven't felt this good in years. I most say to start with that Dr. Ramzer is very family oriented, has a youthful sense of humor, very committed and dedicative to the wellbeing of his patients, he strives for nothing but the best!!!
