Dr. Matthew Sanderson, MD

Dr. Sanderson is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist and Fellowship Trained Cornea, Refractive, and Anterior Segment Disease Specialist. He has decades of experience and has performed tens of thousands of cataract, refractive and corneal surgeries.

After graduating from Cornell University, Dr. Sanderson earned his Medical Degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, PA. He trained in ophthalmology at New York University in New York City and then received Cornea, Refractive and Anterior Disease Fellowship training at the Eye Institute at the Medical College of Wisconsin.

Prior to joining the outstanding team at ICON Eyecare, Dr. Sanderson practiced Ophthalmology in California, leaving for Colorado to join the rest of his family and working for many years as a Cornea, Refractive and Cataract surgery specialist at Spivack Vision Center. He worked closely, for years, with his ICON colleagues; Drs. Litoff, Stiverson and Kim at Kaiser Permanente.
